Counters and Timers
Orbit Controls counters and timers are designed for connection to practically all industrial sensors and pulse sources . They can be used as process monitors to display the process variable to be measured or as process controllers for control and monitoring tasks. The devices display and process pulses and frequencies, as well as quadrature signals from incremental and absolute encoded rotary encoders. In addition to information on the display, the devices also generate data and analog outputs and monitor preselected limit values. The process parameters are entered via the keyboard so that the display is calibrated in the required units and the output signals, serial interfaces and limit values are optimized.

Radalert® 100X
The Radalert® 100X is a general purpose geiger counter that measures alpha, beta, gamma, and X-radiation. Features of the Radalert® 100X, include a three-second update and a Utility Menu that allows you to change the default settings for several operating parameters. Its digital liquid crystal display (LCD) shows the current radiation level in your choice of SI units (microsieverts per hour) from .000 to 1,100 and counts per minute (CPM) from 0 to 350,000 or counts per second (CPS) from 0 to 3,500. For users of conventional units mR/hr (milliroentgens per hour) from .000 to 110 and CPM are optional in the Utility Menu. The RAD 100™ is a general purpose radiation survey meter/geiger counter that detects and measures alpha, beta, gamma, and X-radiation. It is intended for personal safety and educational purposes. Like the popular Radalert® 100X, the RAD 100™ features a 3-second update on its digital liquid crystal display (LCD). The LCD shows the current radiation level in your choice of microSieverts per hour (SI units) or mR/hr for gamma radiation measurements. For mixed sources (alpha, beta, gamma) the CPM mode is recommended. This instrument also offers an accumulated total and timer function, up to 9,999,000 counts and 40 hours. A red LED blinks and a beeper chirps with each count (the chirp can be muted). ADLINK"s PCIe-7248/7296 are high-density parallel digital I/O boards with 96/48 I/O channels. The header connectors are fully compatible with industry Opto-22 standard. Thus, PCIe-7248/7296 can utilize the Opto-22 external devices. The PCIe-7248/7296 devices emulate mode 0 of the industry standard 8255 programmable peripheral interface (PPI) chips. The PCIe-7248/7296 provides 4/2 PPI chips respectively. Each PPI offers three 8-bit ports: Port A, Port B and Port C. The Port C is divided into 2 nibble-wide (4-bit) ports. Counters, Timers, And Ratemeters
ORTEC offers the broadest range of nuclear counters, timers, rate meters and multichannel scalers. Counters simply count the number of input pulses received during the counting period. Timers count pulses generated by an internal or external clock and are used to measure elapsed time, or to establish the length of the counting period. Rate meters provide a readout of the pulse count rate. Multichannel scalers count the number of events that occur during a specified time interval, referred to as the dwell time, resulting in a time-histogram of counts. “Standalone” and programmable computer controlled versions are available.
