Near Field Probes
A typical emi emission test is performed using broadband EMC antennas such as biconical, log periodics, Combilogs and horns. These antennas usually placed at 1, 3 or 10 meter distance as required by the test specification. These is considered far field measurements and the emission limits are given for the specific distance by the specification. During EMI compliance measurements, the emissions levels from products are compared with these limits. If the product exceeds these limits it is considered failing. These tests are typically conducted in a open area test site IOATS) or inside an anechoic chamber.

Antenna, Biconical
EM-6917B-1 | 30 MHz To 3 GHz
The EM-6917B-1, a hybrid combination of the industry standard biconical and log periodic antennas, delivers an unmatched combination of frequency coverage and high power handling capability. Featuring exceptionally broad frequency coverage of 26 MHz to 3 GHz, the EM-6917B-1 eliminates the need for adjustments or switching antennas in most test applications up to 3 GHz, and it does so without compromising power handling capability for transmit applications.

EM-6912A | 30 Mhz – 300 MHz
A balun, feedline, and element cage give the Electro-Metrics EM-6912A response curves that are almost linear, making it ideal for swept measurements. An added benefit is that the EM-6912A has an improved BALUN design, which makes it insensitive to changes of orientation while vertically polarized. Readings obtained will be the same no matter which element is closest to the ground plane, eliminating a potential source of measurement error.

Biconical Antennas
For many years most standards called for the use of a half-wave dipole antenna set for frequencies above 80 MHz. However, to reduce test time, broadband antennas such as the biconical antenna and log periodic antennas began to be accepted. Broadband antennas, compared to half wave dipoles, reduce test time because the technician did not have to stop the test to adjust the dipole antenna for each frequency. A.H. Systems'' 7 models of Biconical Antennas operate efficiently over the frequency range of 20 MHz to 18 GHz. Suitable for FCC, MIL-STD, VDE, TEMPEST, and immunity testing, each Biconical antenna will provide reliable, repeatable measurements.

Combilog Antenna
AC-220
The AC-220 Combilog antenna is for EMC emission and immunity up to 2 GHz.. It combines the electrical properties of two antenna (biconical and Log ). It reduces overall testing time by 20 - 30% due to antenna switching. It is Optimized for emission measurements, but can handle up to 500 Watt CW, making it suitable for most immunity measurements . Each antenna is individually calibrated at 10 meters and the data included the purchase price.

Vector 2D Electromagnetic Solver
QuickWave-V2D
QuickWave V2D is a unique on the market and ultra fast Vector 2D (QW-V2D) electromagnetic solver is applicable to the analysis of axisymmetrical devices (which are also called Bodies Of Revolution) as large as 2100 wavelengths, including antennas (horns, rods, biconical), circular waveguide discontinuities, and resonators. It is based on the Maxwell equations re-expressed in cylindrical coordinates. Definition of a 2D long-section of the structure allows for hundreds times faster simulation than brute force 3D analysis.
