CableEye Generic Surface Mount & TH Board | Cable & Harness Tester
CB51
CAMI Research Inc. (CableEye®)
CAMI Research Inc. (Acton, MA) announces another new board for its CableEye cable and harness testing systems. Populated with solder pads to accept both aligned and staggered, 1.25mm and 1.5mm pitch, surface mount and through hole (TH) connectors, the board addresses any market with a demand for board-to-board connections. Rated to 700Vdc/500Vac, the CB51 may be used on all CableEye models. The CB51, sold without connectors, contains four sets of 60 solder pads accommodating numerous configurations of surface mount and TH connectors aligned or staggered pins at 1.25mmm and 1.5mm pitch. There are four preset locations for automatic detection & display of any-pin-count connector up to 60-pins. Yet, any single set may be fitted with any combination of lower pin count connectors that total to 60 or less (e.g. a 40-pin with a 10-pin). Connectors soldered in non-preset positions will also appear graphically correct once they are mapped with PinMap (optional software).

CableEye 4-Wire Calibration Verification Board | Cable & Harness Testers
CB52
CAMI Research Inc. (CableEye®)
The CB52 is intended for periodic calibration verification of the Kelvin 4-wire resistance measurement module – an optional, add-on module that may be purchased with any new hipot system, or added to an existing high voltage tester as an upgrade. To ensure that 4-wire resistance measurements remain accurate, CAMI recommends running the verification check every quarter. A 4-wire measurement module that is out of calibration will give inaccurate results. Some (maybe all) resistance measurements will be incorrect. Consequently, it may Pass what should Fail and, conversely, Fail what should Pass. In other words product yield will be contaminated due to unreliable measurements.

CableEye Tester Calibration Verification Board | Cable & Harness Tester
CB50
CAMI Research Inc. (CableEye®)
Populated with precision resistors, it allows users to determine empirically whether the tester requires calibration. The CB50 may be used on all CableEye models. The CB50 is intended for periodic verification of tester calibration. To ensure that resistance measurements remain accurate, CAMI recommends yearly calibration. However, depending on environmental conditions and usage, testers may need calibrating more or less frequently. Certain components within models M3U, M3UH, HVX, and HVX-21 (i.e. those capable of measuring resistance) are analog components whose characteristics change slightly over time. This aging is a natural phenomenon common to all electronic components and may cause resistance measurements or gradually deviate from normal. A tester that is out of calibration will give inaccurate results. Some (maybe all) resistance measurements will be incorrect. Consequently, it may Pass what should Fail and, conversely, Fail what should Pass. In other words product yield will be contaminated due to unreliable quality.

Crossing Control Bypass Switch
XCBS-DL
The XCBS-DL is permanently wired into each crossing warning system, and can be configured with either a removable or non-removable bypass key. Simply connect the track connection harness to the designated track connection terminals. To prevent unnecessary operation of the crossing warning system, insert the key and select "bypass", rotate the knife switch to "bypass" and the crossing is disabled. When in the "bypass" position, a Dummy Track Load is connected to the track wire connections in parallel with the rails and the crossing approaches are shorted, preventing unnecessary activation when track equipment is working in the crossing approach circuit. The opening of one track lead may be desired to prevent unnecessary activation with intermittent shunting on the crossing approaches close to the crossing.

Quantum Technology
Our understanding of matter has become ever more detailed over time. Starting from the bulk and macroscopic properties of matter, it was a breakthrough when properties on a microscopic level could be readily viewed and understood.Quantum technologies concern an even smaller scale and seek to exploit the special properties of individual atoms or photons. As the science behind these Quantum properties has become better understood we are now close to being able to harness these effects to produce devices that have exciting new applications in the real world. There is a global effort under way by the major industrialised nations to translate quantum science from labs and research institutions into real-life applications that will positively impact industry and commerce.
