EZ-View Flow Meters
Hedland EZ-View flow meters provide a lower cost alternative to standard Hedland flow meters. Made from high-impact thermoplastics like polysulfone and Radel, these variable area meters (rotameters) contain a minimum number of moving parts, offering a reliable, trouble-free flow rate indicator. Fittings, available in brass, stainless steel and PVC, with NPT or BSP ports, allow the meter to be installed in a wide variety of applications. Meters can be used in oil and water processes, with the ability to add a flow switch, which can be used to trigger alarms.

Lake Variable Area Flow Meters
Lake Variable Area flow meters, often referred to as rotameters, measure flow rate of a liquid or gas by relating linear displacement of an internal “float” or sharp-edged orifice plate (Lake) to a corresponding flow rate. As flow rate increases, the orifice area that the flow moves through also increases – thus, the term “Variable Area.” Variable Area meters either allow flow through a peripheral orifice formed between a tapered wall and a float as in the traditional rotameter, or an annular orifice and an internal tapered metering pin in the Lake Monitor.

The setup is a table top module, it comprises of source and measuring tank. The measuring tank is made of acrylic material with gradation marked in liters. A small FHP pump is fitted to circulate the water. A rotameter with control valve is used to measure the flow rate. Digital timer is provided to note down the duration of flow and the volume of water is measured by the markings on the measuring tank to calculate the actual flow rate
