3U VPX RL Thermal Load Simulation Module
The 3U power test module is an ideal solution for evaluating heat dissipation in a rugged conduction cooled VPX cage or chassis. This card is a thermal load in the chassis to evaluate the heat dissipation. The chassis can be monitored with temp sensing probes and or FLIR imaging. Different wattages are selected by setting dip switches. The +5 and 3.3V loads are on the top of the module. The +12V and -12V loads are on the bottom side of the module.

6 Slot VPX PCIe Gen2 Chassis
Desert Gecko
The 6 slot conduction cooled chassis can dissipate 120W in a non-moving air environment. The fin design and wall thickness was designed and analyzed with Flowmetrics software and designed for minimum delta T offset in an average thermal load application. The design was then verified in real life enviromental chamber experiments with a sealed chassis using our 3U heat simulator modules. Data available upon request.

Adapter PCIe straddle mount to 3U VPX
This adapter connects to the 3U VPX extender to test a PCIe card in a VPX environment. The internal PCB routing is dependent on the VPX profile used in the VPX chassis backplane. Customer must specify the profile used or supply a pin out profile for the slot in question.

High Speed Data Acquisition
All systems can be set up in two types of aluminum chassis. These are the conduction cooled rugged 3U VPX chassis “Crosswind 600” and “Desert Gecko” . Ruggedized and sealed to IP65. These units can use void fillers and GORE brand vents depending on the deployment environment.

Network Centric Secure Router
The system utilizes a 26-port layer 2/3 Gigabit Ethernet switch with embedded 32-bit CPU.It supports combinations of up to 26 SGMII ports consisting of 12 GbE Cu PHYs, 12 SGMII interfaces, two of which support 1G/2.5G, and up to three QSGMII ports. One of the SGMII ports can be dedicated to the CPU for packet insertion and extraction. The devices meet IEEE 802.3az requirements for green energy efficient Ethernet.
